High Country Announces Fundraising Initiative to Local MembersOn April 2nd 2008, High Country Energy announced plans for an investment offering. Local High Country Energy members were introduced to the offering during a meeting at Diggers Bar and Grill in Kasson, Minnesota. Over 50 High Country Energy members attended the meeting. This offering will give potential investors the opportunity to invest in the wind projects developed through High Country Energy. The offering is open to Minnesota residents. Delphi Financial Corporation, an investment banking firm, based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the underwriter and placement agent for the offering. “This is a unique opportunity for the community and High Country Energy members,” says Mark Lucas, Vice President of National Wind. “This is what makes High Country Energy different from other wind developers’ projects. Minnesota residents have the chance to invest and own units in the company. Even landowners that might not get a wind turbine on their property, have the opportunity to invest and own part of the company.” The capital raised will be used to fund development activities over the next 12-18 months. The offering is open first to current High Country Energy members and then to other landowners in the footprint. If there are still opportunities for investment available, the offering will extend to Minnesota residents outside the footprint. Another meeting to discuss the offering is scheduled on April 17, 2008 at Diggers Bar and Grill in Kasson. The meeting is at 7:00 pm and all landowners in High Country Energy’s footprint are welcome to attend to learn more. |
